Green Energy Training Programme
Carlow Kilkenny Energy Agency and Kilkenny Leader Partnership are supporting
a Kilkenny based Green Energy Training Programme. The courses will be
run by the Green Works Kilkenny Hub.
Join us for an information and registration morning on Thursday 28th April
from 11.30am to 14.00pm.

Wind Industry Entry Course
The course is designed to equip individual trainees with the skills required
to allow them to use their primary qualification – electrician, fitter,
engineer, etc. – to seek work in this new, growing industry. It is also
designed for companies who aim to branch into the windfarm industry and need
to send employees on an industry recognised course.
A major part of the course will be industry approved and accredited “Working
at Height & Rescue Training – Wind Turbines” which is essential for anyone
climbing and working within wind turbines. This is the first time this
course will be run in Ireland. Included in the full course content is a wind
industry overview, grid connections, working in confined spaces, wind
turbine safety rules, emergency procedures, bolt torqueing and more.
Please note that the start date for this
course has been postponed until late June/early July 2011.
